Safeguarding

 

We are committed to:

• Maintaining an environment where children, parents/carers, school staff and volunteers feel safe, are encouraged to talk and are listened to when they have concerns about the safety and well-being of a child

• Ensuring that children know that there are adults in the school whom they can approach if they are worried

• Ensuring that children, who have additional/unmet needs, are supported appropriately

• Ensuring children are taught about safeguarding, including online safety, through teaching and learning opportunities, as part of a broad and balanced curriculum

• Actively supporting the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism

 

To report a concern about a child in our school please talk to your child's teacher, or one of the above members of our safeguarding team.

 

You can contact BANES Social Care to request support, or to report a concern about a child or young person.

Call the children's team on 01225 396313 if:

• A child is suffering significant harm

• You want to protect a child from abuse or serious neglect

• You feel the child requires urgent or short-term care (acute services

 

Call 999 if you think a child or young person is in immediate danger.

 

You can also contact the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) if you need to report a concern about an adult who works with children.
