Reader Assistants x 3
Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday to Friday 1pm – 3pm).
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st August 2022 (pending a review of funding and staffing requirements), term-time only.
Grade range: Grade 2 Scale Point 4.
Actual Salary range: £4,278.66 - £4,357.17 basic pay per annum for 10 hours per week. Pro rata (term time only).
We are looking to recruit 3 Reading Assistants to support our children’s learning and development. This would be an ideal opportunity for a parent or for someone looking for a part-time role working with primary aged children.
Relevant experience of working with Primary aged children and a clear understanding of the role of a Reading Assistant in supporting and maximising learning are desirable.

Some knowledge and understanding of developing children’s reading comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, and love of reading.

Knowledge and understanding of phonics and how children learn to read.
